Vivo X Fold 2, X Flip, Pad 2 tipped to launch on April 20
Vivo has already confirmed that it will announce the new foldables and a new tablet this month in China. However, the brand is yet to confirm a launch date. In a new Weibo post, tipster Panda is Bald has shared an image that reveals the launch date of Vivo’s next launch event for China.
The image shared by the tipster shows that the Vivo will be holding a launch event at 7 pm (local time) on April 20 in China. The event is expected to see the arrival of at least three products, such as the Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo X Flip, and Vivo Pad 2.
The Vivo X Fold 2 will be the third generation foldable phone from the brand. One of the USPs of the device is that it will debut as the world’s first foldable phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The Vivo X Flip will be Vivo’s first phone with a vertically foldable design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. It will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.
The Vivo Pad 2 will be a flagship tablet that will replace last year’s Vivo Pad, which was powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset. The Pad 2 is rumoured to come equipped with the Dimensity 9000 chipset.
While the X Flip is expected to release in the global market, it is unclear whether the X Fold 2 and Pad 2 will debut globally.
