Vivo X Fold 3 Pro: India’s First Foldable with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC launching on June 6th, Flipkart Microsite Now Live

Update 20th May 2024 – Vivo India’s official website has unveiled the launch date for their upcoming smartphone, slated for June 6th, 2024. The microsite also provides a sneak peek into some key specifications, including details such as its weight, the presence of a Zeiss telephoto camera, and its TUV Rheinhald 5,00,000 folding certification.

Furthermore, it’s been revealed that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC, mirroring its Chinese counterpart. Additionally, it boasts a robust 5,700 mAh battery equipped with 100W of Dual Flash Charge and 50W Wireless Flash Charge capabilities. Notably, the hinge will be constructed from carbon fiber, with Vivo claiming an impressive durability of up to 12 years.

In terms of its design and form factor, this smartphone is touted to be India’s slimmest fold, with a folded thickness of just 11.2 mm, and the lightest in its class, weighing in at 236g. The main screen is said to feature an expansive 8.03″ display, making it the largest in its category, with a remarkable peak brightness of 4500.

Considering these specifications, it appears highly likely that Vivo will unveil the X Fold 3 Pro for the Indian market, with the teaser hinting at the availability of the Celestial Black variant.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is finally launching in the Indian market, becoming the first foldable smartphone in India to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Its microsite is now live on Flipkart, featuring the tagline “The Best Fold Ever – X Fold 3 Pro AI – Co-engineered with Zeiss.” The teaser image reveals a glimpse of the top antenna, a circular camera island, and a feather, highlighting its lightweight design.

Although the launch date hasn’t been disclosed yet, a tipster recently suggested that the launch may happen in early June.

In terms of specifications, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was earlier sighted on a Geekbench with the model number “V2330.” According to the listing, it is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, similar to its Chinese counterpart. Additionally, we can expect at least 16GB of RAM and Android 14 out of the box. However, it is uncertain which version of FuntouchOS 14 will be included.

Apart from the Geekbench listing, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has also been spotted on Indonesian SDPPI, TKDN, Bluetooth SIG, and BIS. The listings on SDPPI and TKDN suggest that it is also coming to Indonesia, though the launch date there is currently unknown.
