Vivo X100 Pro+ tipped to feature 200MP periscope telephoto camera

Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo X100 series as early as November this year. Like the Vivo X90 lineup, the X100 series is said to have three models, such as the Vivo X100, the Vivo X100 Pro, and the Vivo X100 Pro+. A new leak courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the X100 Pro+ will feature the highest-resolution periscope telephoto camera.

According to DCS, the Vivo X100 Pro+ will be equipped with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. This ground-breaking feature is expected to outperform the telephoto capabilities of all other smartphones on the market, which offer up to 100x.

In addition, previous leaks have claimed that it will continue to feature a 1-inch Sony IMX989 50-megapixel primary camera, which was made available on the Vivo X90 Pro+. At present, there is no information available about the other cameras on the X100 Pro+.

While the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro were released in the global market, the X90 Pro+ remained exclusive to the Chinese market. Hence, it is unclear whether the X100 Pro+ will debut in markets outside of China.

The upcoming Dimensity 9300 chipset is reportedly what powers the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. The X100 Pro+, on the other hand, will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is expected to debut in October. It is speculated that the X100 Pro+ will debut in the first quarter of 2024.
