Vivo X100 Pro, X100 Pro+ to arrive with IP68 rating, 50W wireless charging, November launch tipped
In a recent Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the launch schedule of the upcoming Vivo flagship phones. Now, in a new leak, the tipster has mentioned the IP68 rating of the X100 series of smartphones. He has also revealed when exactly Vivo will be announcing it.
According to the tipster, the IP rating of the Vivo X100 is not confirmed. However, the Vivo X100 Pro and X100 Pro+ will have an IP68 rating. To recall, the Vivo X90 came with an IP64-rated chassis, whereas the X90 Pro and X90 Pro+ were IP68-rated devices.
The X100 Pro and X100 Pro+ will offer 50W wireless charging, whereas the X100 will lack support for it. He added that the series will be equipped with dual stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, and an IR blaster.
He also revealed that the Vivo X100 series will be announced in November. As per DCS’ previous leak, the X100 and X100 Pro will be announced first. Both models are expected to feature the Dimensity 9300, which is likely to go official in October.
The Vivo X100 Pro+ is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2024. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagship may launch along with the Vivo X Fold 3 foldable phone. The entire lineup is likely to come preloaded with Origin OS 4.0, which is likely to debut at the Vivo Developer Conference in October.
