Vivo Y100 launched globally but in a new 4G variant and colour changing back panel
Vivo is again back with a new Y series smartphone called the Vivo Y100 4G. The design and specs are similar to the already launched Vivo V30 Lite 4G, which was released in Russia and is not to be confused with its 5G variant. I feel repackaging is the new way going forward with these smartphone companies.
Vivo Y100 4G Specs
You will see a 6.7″ E4 AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1800 nits, pixel density of 394 PPI, and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, we have a Snapdragon 685 4G 6 nm processor with 4 CPU cores clocked at 2.8 GHz and another 4 at 1.9 GHz, and it will boot with FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14. You will get LPDDR4X 8GB of RAM with 8GB of virtual RAM, plus a 256GB UFS 2.2 storage option. There is also an option to expand the storage up to 1TB with a microSD card. The battery size is decent, offering 5,000 mAh and also supporting 80W fast charging.
Coming to the camera, there is a dual rear camera setup of 50MP+2MP with rear LED flash, even though the design looks like it has a triple camera setup. The front has an 8MP selfie shooter. In terms of connectivity, you will get WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0, and just like the Vivo V30 Lite 4G, it doesn’t support NFC.
It is offered in two color options, Breeze Green and Crystal Black. The Breeze Green has a color-changing back, weighing about 196g, while the Crystal Black weighs about 186g and doesn’t offer a color-changing back panel.
Pricing
It is available in a single memory option of 8GB+256GB and costs about Pakistan Rupees 59,999(Approx.$215.44.)
