Vivo Y11 (2023) launched in china with fresh back design compared to the 2019 model
Vivo, the Chinese smartphone maker, has recently unveiled its latest version of the Y11 model, which is released in China. The Y11 (2023) features a larger 6.51″ LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch that houses a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera. The model number of this smartphone is V2236A.
While the design remains similar to the 2019 model, the Y11’s 2023 version has flat frames and a flat rear panel with a rectangular camera island housing the 8MP primary camera and LED flash. Unlike its predecessor, the Y11 (2023) does not have a fingerprint reader embedded in the power button.
The Y11 (2023) is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P35 chip and has 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card. It runs on Android 12-based OriginOS Ocean and has a 5,000 mAh battery, charged through a micro USB port at up to 10W, similar to the Y11 (2019).
The Y11 (2023) comes in two memory options – 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB, priced at CNY899 ($130/€120/INR10,755) and CNY999 ($145/€135/INR11,950), respectively. It will be available in Ice blue and Obsidian black colors, but there is no word on its sale date in China and availability in other countries.
Compared to its predecessor, the Y11 (2023) has a more modern design and upgraded hardware, making it a solid mid-range option for those in the market for a new smartphone. However, the lack of a fingerprint reader may be a drawback for some users. We will have to wait and see how the Y11 (2023) fares in the highly competitive smartphone market.
