Well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed Vivo’s and its sub-brand iQOO’s plans for the remaining months of this year. In the coming months, the company will announce the OriginOS 4.0, Vivo X100 series, iQOO 12 series, and Vivo X Fold 3 foldable phone, revealed the tipster.
According to the tipster, Vivo will start announcing its new products in October. First, the company will unveil the OriginOS 4.0 operating system. These will be followed by the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro models, and finally, the Vivo X100 Pro+ and Vivo X Fold 3 will also be unveiled.
Previously, at the 2023 Vivo Fan Carnival event, Vivo confirmed that the X100 and X100 Pro would debut before the end of this year, while the X100 Pro+ is scheduled for release in the following year. This means that the X100 and X100 Pro will likely be announced in November 2023. Rumours have revealed that these devices will be powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset. The iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The iQOO 12 lineup may go official in December.
The Vivo X100 Pro+ and Vivo X Fold 3 are likely to debut together in the first quarter of 2024. The X-series flagship phone is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Rumours also suggest that it will have a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 primary camera, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom, and two 50-megapixel secondary cameras. It is unclear whether the X Fold 3 will have the same chip onboard.
