Xiaomi 14 series is expected to debut in November this year in China. Now that the second half of the year has started, the rumor mill is expected to leak new details about the upcoming flagship phones. In a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station talked about the battery size and charging capabilities of the Xiaomi 14 Duo.
Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro battery sizes, charging speeds
As per the leak by DCS, the Xiaomi 14 will feature a 4,860mAh battery with 90W wired charging. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will arrive with a 5,000mAh battery and 120W wired charging. Both phones will support 50W wireless charging.
The leak suggests that the Xiaomi 14 will receive a significant upgrade in the battery and charging departments. The reason behind it is that the Xiaomi 13 featured a smaller 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. A recent report revealed that the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will both feature a USB-C port with support for the USB 3.2 standard.
The Xiaomi 14 series will be equipped with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Qualcomm is expected to unveil the new chip in October of this year. Hence, it is being speculated that the Xiaomi 14 lineup may break cover as early as November in China.
The Xiaomi 14 series also includes the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. In all likelihood, the device will be announced in the first quarter of 2024 in China.
