Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro receive MIIT certification ahead of rumoured launch in coming week
The Xiaomi Mi 14 series has received approval from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China. The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro devices have appeared with model numbers 23127PN0CC and 23116PN5BC in the database. These devices have been previously spotted on China’s 3C certification platform.
Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro MIIT certified in China
The MIIT certification of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have no information on their specifications but serves as a good hint that these devices will be launching soon. Recent reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 14 lineup will be announced on Oct. 27.
The 3C certification of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro revealed that these devices may arrive with support for 90W and 120W wired charging, respectively. In addition, the 14 Pro is expected to offer 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Qualcomm is expected to unveil the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in the coming week. The same chip is expected to power the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro.
Rumours are rife that Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is also working on the Redmi K70 series of smartphones. The K70 and K70 Pro are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively. There is a possibility that the K70e, which is expected to launch alongside the K70 and K70 Pro, may feature the upcoming Dimensity 8300 chipset. The K70 lineup may break cover in December this year.
