Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro tipped to support 4K recording via front camera and USB 3.2
The rumour mill is gradually revealing details about the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series. The latest leak reveals the upgrade the front cameras of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will receive. In addition, it also talks about one feature that the duo will inherit from the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
As per the tipster, the Xiaomi 14 series will boast a notable enhancement in its selfie camera capabilities. The upcoming devices are expected to support 4K video recording at a smooth 60 frames per second (fps). This represents an upgrade over the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro models, which offered 60fps 1080p video recording with their front cameras.
Similarly, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra provided up to 60fps 1080p video shooting. With the Xiaomi 14 series, users can anticipate superior video quality and a more immersive selfie recording experience.
The Xiaomi 14 series will also receive an upgrade in USB performance. The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro that debuted last year have a USB-C port, which supports the USB 2.0 protocol. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra, on the other hand, is equipped with a USB 3.2. According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 14 series will also come equipped with support for USB 3.2. Hence, the Xiaomi 14 series is expected to offer faster data transfer, improved bandwidth, and enhanced power delivery than USB 2.0.
As per reports, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will debut as early as November this year. The 14 Ultra may debut in Q1 2024.
