It appears that we will soon be introduced to the upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi, none other than the Xiaomi 14 series. It is expected that we may see Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro during this launch in China and later globally. As the successor to the 13 series, there are high expectations for this smartphone, as it might feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is set to be launched on October 24th.
Prior to this, an alleged spec sheet of the Xiaomi 14 was leaked, showcasing that it will feature the newest addition to the 8 Gen series processor. It seems that this leak is coming to fruition, as we at The Tech Outlook have recently spotted the Chinese variant of the Xiaomi 14 on Geekbench with the model number 23127PN0CC. It managed to score 2244 points on a single core and 6820 on a multicore, which compared to the recently spotted Oppo Find X7(MediaTek Dimesity 9300) is slightly on the lower side for the multicore.
The Geekbench listing has confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 will indeed be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor. Our basis for this conclusion is that earlier, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was spotted with the Adreno 750 as its GPU, and the same configuration has been identified with this smartphone.
We have also learned that it will be equipped with 14.85GB of RAM(Likely to be marketed at 16GB) and will run on Android 14. Xiaomi recently unveiled its plan to adopt HyperOS 1.0 in lieu of the traditional MIUI (which has now been scrapped). However, numerous rumors have emerged suggesting not to set high expectations for HyperOS, as it may essentially be a rebranded version of MIUI. Not only this Xiaomi recently confirmed that the 14 and 14 Pro will be coming with Leica Summilux Lens.
Regarding its processing cores, it will feature 8 cores, including 2 cores clocked at 2.27GHz, 2 cores at 2.96GHz, 3 cores at 3.15GHz, and 1 core at 3.30GHz. Additionally, it was recently spotted in a 3C certification document indicating it may support 90W wired charging.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro colors and RAM/Storage options have also been tipped to be: 14 black, white, green, and pink, and for 14 Pro black, white, and green. Both may have up to 16GB RAM and Upto 1TB of storage. One thing I forgot is that we may also see the Xiaomi Watch S3 along with the 14 series launch in China.
