Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications for Indian Consumers Revealed Via Amazon

The Chinese smartphone maker – Xiaomi has already unveiled its Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra devices in the global market and their India arrival is scheduled to take place in three days. Ahead of it, via the Amazon shopping platform, the specifications of the Indian models have been revealed.

Xiaomi 15

Xiaomi’s standard 15 smartphone debuted back in October 2024 in China and it recently hit the global market on the 2nd of March 2025. About the Indian variant, notably the device would be featuring the Leica Summilux Optical Lens, Xiaomi Shield Glass, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, CystalRes Dynamic 1 ~ 120 Hz AMOLED display, and 5240 mAh (typical value) Xiaomi Surge Battery with up to 25 hours of video playback time.

Xiaomi 15 (Indian Variant) - Key Specs

Speaking more, the device has an All-Around Fluid Design, with micro-curved aluminium frame, and offers an exceptional in-hand feel for users. It weighs 191 gm, is 71.2 mm wide, and 8.08 mm thick. Black, Blue, and White color variants will also be offered for the device. The volcano-shaped camera module is also a notable design spec. Moreover, the bezel-less display with only 1.38 mm ultra-thin bezels, assures an immersive user experience. Also, the Xiaomi Shield Glass with 10X improved durability and the high strength aluminium frame with 33% more improved bending strength delivers unparalleled protection.

On the camera side, the Professional Leica Triple Camera System houses a 23 mm Leica main camera (50MP sensor, Light Fusion 900 High Dynamic Range Sensor, f/1.62 large aperture, 2.4µm super pixel, 7P lens, OIS), 60 mm Leica floating telephoto lens (50MP sensor, f/2.0 large aperture, 6P lens, OIS, 10 cm macro photography), and a 14 mm Leica ultra-wide camera (50MP sensor, f/2.2 large aperture, 6P lens, EIS). Other key camera features include the Xiaomi AISP 2.0, Master Portrait, Sunset Portrait, Street Photography, AI Creativity Assistant, and studio-grade professional recording.

Coming to the performance side, Xiaomi HyperAI is present within the device offering features like AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, AI Interpreter, AI Search, and AI Dynamic Wallpapers. With Google Gemini, more AI features such as Gemini Overlay, Gemini Live, Image Generation, and Gemini Extensions are present. Circle to Search is also a key feature.

An advanced intelligent display is also part of the device. It is a 2670 x 1200 pixels CrystalRes display with 6.36″ screen size, always-active display, 460 PPI screen density, 1 ~ 120 Hz refresh rate, 68 billion colors, Original Color Pro, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. Xiaomi’s custom M9 display panel also reduces power consumption by 10% and offers 3200 nits ultra brightness (2.28x brightness improvement).

As mentioned, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor is equipped within the device, with 45% improved CPU multi-core performance, 52% reduced CPU power consumption, 44% improved GPU performance, 46% reduced power consumption, 105% improved AI performance, and 45% improved AI energy efficiency. The innovative wing thermal design further ensures stable performance with proper heat dissipation. The 5240 mAh Xiaomi Surge Battery delivers a video playback time of up to 25 hours, and the 90W HyperCharge and 50W Wireless HyperCharge features ensure a faster charging experience. The Xiaomi Surge P3 smart fast-charging chip and Xiaomi Surge G1 battery management chip are also present within the device, increasing the life of the battery.

Other notable specs include the fast ultrasonic fingerprint unlocking system, enhanced communication experience (Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner, Super Antenna Array, AI Intelligent Communication), IP68-rated water and dust resistance, stereo speakers, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, multi-functional NFC, IR blaster, USB 3.2 Gen 1, 4-mic array, and Xiaomi HyperOS 2.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone debuted in the Chinese market late last month, and its global launch took place early this month along with the standard Xiaomi 15 device. The notable key specs of its Indian variant are the next-gen Leica Quad Camera System with the Leica 1″ main 200MP telephoto camera, Leica Summilux Optical Lens, Xiaomi HyperAI, Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, micro-quad-curved display with Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0, and Xiaomi Guardian Structure with camera-inspired aesthetics.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra (Indian Variant) - Key Specs

Xiaomi’s 15 Ultra smartphone as mentioned has a camera-inspired design with symmetrical aesthetics and a classic design language, and comes in the Silver Chrome color option. A new aerospace-grade glass fiber and PU leather are part of this premium classic look. Furthermore, the micro-quad-curved display with ultra-thin bezels, wraparound uni-body frame, and integrated 3D camera module elevates the total design of the smartphone.

With the next-gen Xiaomi Guardian Structure, featuring a heavy-duty aluminium frame, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for camera module, and ultra-strong Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0 for the display, 25% improved drop resistance, lasting build, and 82% improved camera module nanoindentation hardness is assured. The device’s Photography Kit Legend Edition is also available to Indian consumers, which features a detachable shutter button, detachable and removable thumb support, 2000 mAh power-saving large battery, and IP54-rated water resistant body.

Regarding the camera specs, the quad camera module equips a Leica 23 mm HDR main camera (50MP, Sony LYT-900 sensor, 1″, f/1.63 large aperture, 3.2µm super pixel, 8P lens, OIS), Leica 100 mm ultra telephoto camera (200MP, 1/1.4″ large sensor, f/2.6 large aperture, 2.24µm super pixel, OIS), Leica 14 mm ultra-wide camera (50MP, f/2.2 large aperture, 6P lens, EIS, 5 cm super macro), and a Leica 70 mm floating telephoto camera (50MP, f/1.8 large aperture, 6P lens, OIS, 10cm macro photography). The display is 6.73″ large, has a screen resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, supports LTPO 1 ~ 120Hz refresh rate, along with 68 billion colors, Original color Pro (based on CIE 2015 standards), reduced eye-fatigue (DC dimming, 1920Hz PWM), HDR10+, Dolby Vision, TUV Rheinland certification (for Low Blue Light Hardware Solution, Circadian Friendly, Flicker-Free), and always-active display. 3200 nits brightness support also lets the device defy outdoor glare.

India Arrival

As per the official update from Xiaomi India, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be arriving in the Indian market on the 11th of March 2025, in three days, at 12 PM noon. Additionally, the Amazon landing page of the two devices confirms their availability through the shopping platform as well.
