Xiaomi 15 Series and OnePlus 13 Series Testing Ultrasonic Waves; To Sport New Camera Modules
Xiaomi and OnePlus, two of the leading Chinese smartphone makers, following the launch of their latest 14 series and 12 series devices are currently working on the next 15 series and 13 series devices, respectively. The two brands are pointed out to debut their latest smartphones in the month of October 2024 and are competing to get the title – “First Smartphone to Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Chipset”.
A Chinese tipster on the Weibo platform has now pointed out some features of the upcoming series, further pointing to the possible competition between the two brands.

Xiaomi 15 Series and OnePlus 13 Series – Ultrasonic Waves and Camera Module Change
This update comes from the tipster – Smart Pikachu, and he has shared that the next Xiaomi 15 series and OnePlus 13 series are both testing ultrasonic waves suggesting that it might be featured on the devices. The tipster has also added that the camera modules of both the series have changed with different module arrangements.
If we look at the other previous updates regarding the two series, the Xiaomi 15 series devices such as the Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15 Ultra were confirmed to support ultrasound, while at the time the vanilla Xiaomi 15 was still in the process of consideration. It was also said that the 15 series devices(vanilla and pro models) were in the development stage and might reach the mass production phase in the month of September, aiming to the expected launch in October 2024.
The vanilla Xiaomi 15 is also tipped to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset onboard, with the said camera module change. Few other key specs were also revealed including the OLED CSOT LTPO display, 1.5K resolution, 1400 nits peak brightness, ultra thin bezels, large battery, and lower power consumption.
Regarding the OnePlus 13 series, reports only about the flagship 13 smartphone is available as of now. The change in design was suggested and the device won’t be having a stainless steel hinge or a circular camera module. As mentioned, the next Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor has also been tipped for the smartphone.
