Xiaomi Mix Flip could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
Xiaomi is reportedly working on its first flip-style foldable phone for the Chinese market. While the company is still silent on its existence, reports suggest that it will be called the Xiaomi Mix Flip when it breaks cover. There have been reports that it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, a new leak suggests it may arrive with a newer chipset.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, an upcoming small-sized foldable phone will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will support two-way satellite communication. Without going into the specifics, the tipster claimed that the front and rear screen design, camera specifications, and other hardware would be the major highlights of the phone.
Although the leaker did not mention the name of the device, it appears that he could be talking about the Xiaomi Mix Flip. As per reports, it will debut along with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which is expected to debut in China by the end of February. The rumour mill is yet to leak concrete information about the specs of the MIX Flip. One of the recent leaks claimed that it will have a triple camera setup equipped with a telephoto camera.
The Chinese variant of the MIX Flip, which is identified with the 2311BPN23C model number, was recently spotted on a Chinese certification platform. Its global version, which bears the 2311BPN23G model number, has also been spotted in the IMEI database. At present, there is no information available about the MIX Flip’s launch timeframe for the global market.
