Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 to feature new waterdrop hinge for drop resistance, claims tipster
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 is expected to launch in August in China. Ahead of the expected launch, the rumour mill has been actively spilling new details about it. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the device will offer better drop resistance thanks to the inclusion of a new waterdrop hinge.
As can be seen above, the tipster has further claimed that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will be thin and lightweight. It will be competing with other foldable phones, such as the Honor Magic V2 and the OPPO Find N3. The tipster revealed that the prototype of the MIX Fold 3 has a glass body with curved edges and a white finish. At present, there is no brand offering a foldable phone in white.
According to DCS, the MIX Fold 3 will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Reports have revealed that the foldable phone will be equipped with a quad-camera setup. In today’s leak, the tipster mentioned that with a telephoto camera with a 3.2x zoom and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom.
He added that the MIX Fold 3 will support 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. To recall, the original MIX Fold and the MIX Fold 2 did not support wireless charging. At present, there is no accurate information available on the battery size of the device.
