Xiaomi Teases CIVI Series Launch In India With Creative Dig At Apple’s Controversial Ad

Xiaomi India has recently posted a teaser on its X account that not only aims to point towards a new product launch in India but also takes a dig at the controversial ad that Apple posted before the launch of the Apple iPad. The ad released by Apple showed various creative tools being destroyed under a big crusher. Thereafter an iPad Pro emerges under the crusher.

This ad caused a backlash from the creative industry and Apple had to issue an apology and remove the ad. Xiaomi India has posted a similar video in which several creative tools can be seen under a crusher though it does not crush any of them. The company might want to depict that they don’t crush creativity.

In the video “CINEMATIC VISION” appears and CI, VI remains highlighted in the red color. It hints towards the near launch of the CIVI series smartphone in India. This could be the Xiaomi Civi 4 smartphone that has already been launched in China though in India it could be launched with a different moniker.

There has been some confusion around its moniker because earlier it was tipped to come as Xiaomi 14 Lite, but Abhishek Yadav named tipster in an X post wrote that Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro can come as Xiaomi 14 SE, and another report reported that it can come as Xiaomi 14 Civi. Something similar was said by a tipster named Kacper Skrzypek that Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro can come as Xiaomi 14 Civi in India. The exact name under which the Civi 4 Pro will be released is still a mystery. However, with a new teaser now available, the official announcement is just days away.
