Motorola Razr 2022 Foldable, Price, Specs and everything we know so far
After Motorola Razr 2022 was announced last month, we were left wondering if the new clamshell foldable would be available outside of China. We now have evidence that a global release outside of China is possible, thanks to some new leaked renders from @evleaks.

Though some outlets speculated that a US release was possible, these images do not exactly indicate that. There is no mention of a US carrier in any of the images, and one of them shows a screen with WhatsApp open, which is more popular in markets other than the US. Nonetheless, if you zoom in on the WhatsApp conversation, you’ll notice that it mentions Portland and “the state,” which most likely refers to Oregon – in the United States.
Surprisingly, all of the screenshots are at 11:35 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3. While this happens to be my birthday (yes, really), April 3rd does not fall on a Tuesday until 2029. However, further investigation revealed that on Tuesday, April 3, 1973, a Motorola engineer made the first phone call using a DynaTAC – prototype of the first handheld cellular phone.
Here are the specs of the Motorola Razr 2022 Foldable
Motorola announced the 2022 Razr last month, boasting some worthy upgrades over its predecessor. It has a new OLED panel with an improved hinge that closes completely and supports HDR10+ and a refresh rate of 144Hz. In addition, instead of a notch, there is now a punch-hole selfie camera.
The main camera sensor is 50MP with OIS, and the ultrawide sensor is 13MP, but the real upgrade here is the addition of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset (Motorola used Snapdragon 7XX series chips on previous models). The Razr 2022 is already on the market in China, with prices starting at CNY5,999 (US$856). Motorola has not yet confirmed market pricing or availability.
