New Gaming desktop by Lenovo on the way to launch
The new IdeaCentre Gaming 5 runs on up to an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X.
Lenovo already has an IdeaCentre Gaming 5 desktop. But now, sources claim that it has updated it with a new, Alder Lake-based 17IAB7 variant. The Chinese media site has claimed to have done some internal up-gradation. It also has claimed for an all-new design for IdeaCentre Gaming desktop 5.
Also, the report contains new features that could be official marketing images for the IdeaCentre line’s alleged new addition. It is a trim desktop. With a different faceplate compared to the current Gaming 5 model, with its RGB in different places, mainly found in its new front-facing fins and in its side-mounted logo.
Reports say that it will be powered by either the Core i5-12400 or i7-12700- or, possibly, the F-variants of either CPU. There is a similar variance as to the supposedly upcoming desktop’s graphics card: apparently, there could be options with not merely the AMD RX6400 or RX6500 but also NVIDIA’s GTX 1650, GTX 1660 Super, RTX 3060, or RTX 3060 Ti.
The IdeaCentre Gaming 5 (17IAB7) is also now projected to offer DDR4 RAM. It will have space for 2 3.5-inch hard drives as well as one M.2 SSD. It may have one USB type-C (with 3.2 Gen 1 speeds) among its front-facing ports. Still, there has been no information about its price, leaked so far.
