Pre orders for Google Pixel 7 Pro to begin on 6 October
Google has announced that pre-orders for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will begin on October 6 in a humorously “censored” first impressions video. Google announced earlier this month that it would hold a Pixel hardware event on October 6, focusing on the upcoming Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel Watch. Google’s Nest team has also shared plans for new product announcements, which could include the recently leaked Nest Wifi Pro.
In addition, Google hinted that the Pixel Watch would be ready for the announcement next month. The Pixel Watch is rumored to start at US$349.99, but the LTE edition will cost US$399.99. For some reason, Google is expected to begin shipping Pixel Watch pre-orders on November 4, more than two weeks after the Pixel 7 series units begin shipping. However, Google is expected to confirm all Pixel Watch details on October 6.
Meanwhile, the same video highlights that Pixel 7 series pre-orders will commence on launch day. Presumably applying for multiple markets, it remains to be seen how much either the Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro will cost. Reportedly, Google plans to reveal both smartphones in the same memory configurations that it offers in the Pixel 6 series. Hence, Europe will only receive 128 GB and 256 GB variants, with a 512 GB option for the Pixel 7 Pro restricted to North America.
