Qualcomm brought the snapdragon processor (chip) in 2007 which is designed for mobile devices to be fast, work smoothly, intelligent and secure with an amazing system.

Mobile devices built with snapdragon enable excellent camera features, 4G and 5G LTE connectivity and great security solutions.
Recently, Qualcomm announced snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 latest mobile chipsets.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will be available in the market after being in rumours for so long.
After the succession of snapdragon 778G from last year, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is a new series of chips and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is an upgraded version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Both the snapdragon chips will be available in new Smartphones launching after a few weeks.
Now let’s get details of their features :
1) Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 :
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is a small 4nm chip just like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
As compared to Snapdragon 778 G chip, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will offer 20% faster system and 30% faster AI performance and the storage is 16GB LPDDR5 RAM
This chipset guarantees double frame rates in games but the power consumption would be the same as the Snapdragon 778G.
This chip also supports upto 200MP photos and 4K HDR video recording. It can also make 10 bit HEIC still photos and HEVC video.
It also supports the downloading up to 4.4GBps download speed and supports dual 5G connectivity.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset also boosts to Wi -Go 6E along with Bluetooth 5.3.
2) Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 –
Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is an updated version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which provides TSMC 4nm process and excellent power efficiency.
The ‘+’ added because the CPU performance is improved by 10% and strengthens the power efficiency by 30%.
The main Cortex X2 core is now able to reach 3.2Ghz clock speed, 3 Kryo Gold cores are improved by 2.5Ghz, 4 silver cores are improved by 2Ghz.
The AI performance has improved power efficiency to 20% and the overall power efficiency has improved to 15%.
Using the snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset smartphones can now watch video continuously for 1 hour 30 mins which is more than snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
