There is happy news for all the Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro users out there. The users will receive the MIUI 12 update, it has been confirmed by the company. The screenshots displayed by the users on their Twitter handle suggest that the new update brings along optimizations to animations on the screen and a fix for notification shade in Dark Mode.
The company recommends the user to install this update under a strong wifi connection and preferably when the phone is charged.
According to the screenshots, the shared update is seen to be 647 MB however it is 2 GB for some of its users. It is recommended to free up space on your phone before you begin installing the update.
This update is only for global users and doesn’t know when it will be available for Chinese and Russian units. The update rollout is taking place in a phased manner so the eligible users might have to wait for it.
