Retroid officially unveils its latest gaming handheld- Pocket Classic with all new Qualcomm Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 SoC
Retroid- a company that is known for introducing Android-based handheld gaming consoles, allowing users to play emulated games from various platforms. Today the company has launched its latest budget-friendly gaming handheld- Pocket Classic.
Pocket Classic: Features
Pocket Classic is the first device to launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 Gen 2. The chipset includes two P-cores, six E-cores, and an Android A12 GPU. It features a 3.92-inch AMOLED display that offers a 1240×1080 pixel screen resolution, 107% sRGB color gamut, and 500 nits brightness. The gaming handheld runs on Android 14 OS, it is backed by a 5000mAh battery and supports 27W charging.
It offers 4/6 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64/128 GB EMMC5.1 storage while it comes with a TF card slot. It supports WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. The gaming handheld is integrated with the active cooling system. It features a curved and contoured back for enhanced grip and comfort along with triggered buttons. There are dual structure options- Classic 6 and Classic 4.
Pocket Classic: Availability
It is available in Classic 6, Retro, Berry, Teal, Kiwi, PKM Yellow, and Atomic Purple color options. Pocket Classic starts at $119 for 4/64 GB in Classic 6 and Retro variants. The 6/128 GB variant is priced at $129 in the same color options plus Berry, Atomic Purple, Teal, Kiwi, and PKM Yellow color options.
Pocket Classic is available for pre-order via Retroid’s official website the shipments will start in mid-April. Retroid is offering CLASSICSAVE5 and MINISAVE10 coupon codes worth $5 and $10 respectively. The MINISAVE10 coupon is only available for Pocket Mini owners.
