Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series to Perform Faster than the Tab S8 Series Devices: Here’s More About it

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series devices which are expected to come out in the second half of this year along with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will perform 39% faster than the previously launched Galaxy Tab S8 series devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series

Thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and the better cooling systems, the upcoming tablets in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series will be 39% faster than the Galaxy Tab S8 series devices. Reports also state that the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2+ chipset making it the fastest tablet in the series. The device will also have a battery backup of 10880 mAh as well.

Samsung launched its Galaxy Tab S8 series devices last year on the 25th of February 2022 and brought three tablets to the series which include the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. In the Tab S9 series too, the brand plans to bring three new tablets and the model numbers of the devices have also been revealed.

The Galaxy Tab S9 series will include the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, the Galaxy Tab S9+, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra devices. All three devices will be available in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi+5G variants.

Here are the model numbers of the three devices,

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 will come with a model number SM-X710 for the Wi-Fi-only model and will have model numbers SM-X716B and SM-X718U for the Wi-Fi+5G models, for the global market and US market respectively.

The Galaxy Tab S9+ will have a model number of SM-X810 for the Wi-Fi-only model and will arrive in model numbers SM-X816B(for the Global market) and SM-X818U(for the US market) for the Wi-Fi+5G models.

For the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, the three models will be available in model numbers SM-X910(for Wi-Fi only), SM-X916B, and SMX918U(for Wi-Fi+5G models to be released in the Global and US markets respectively).

The upcoming devices are also expected to run on the latest Android 13-based One UI 5.1 custom user interface and will likely bring better cameras, a fingerprint sensor, an AKG-tuned quad-speaker setup, and will have more advanced software features. Reports are also revealing that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 devices will be IP67 water-resistant as well.

As of now, we don’t have a confirmed date regarding when Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Tab S9 series but from what is understood, the three new devices will come out in the mid-half of this year.
