Samsung has announced next update for Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series

When the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic were first introduced, Samsung’s One UI Watch skin was integrated to Wear OS 3. According to Samsung’s claim, both devices would receive software support for up to four years until the year 2026. A big update to the Galaxy Watch 4 series, One UI Watch 4.5, was issued by Samsung last month. In October, Samsung is shifting oppositely with a very minor software update.

The new update, R8xxXXU1GVI3, barely modifies any Galaxy Watch4 series models. R8xxXXU1GVI3 “improves system stability and dependability,” according to Samsung’s changelog, a claim that practically all manufacturers of smartwatches make.

The R8xxXXU1GVI3 also uses stabilizing codes to improve watch performance. Again, Samsung has not provided any details regarding what they are or how they can enhance the functionality of the Galaxy Watch4 or Galaxy Watch4 Classic.

The Android security patch level for the Galaxy Watch4 series is not updated by R8xxXXU1GVI3. The Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic update from this month still use the August 1, 2022 fix that was offered in R8xxXXU1GVH2. Therefore, it is unclear what modifications Samsung made this month. However, Samsung is currently disseminating the upgraded version through its Galaxy Wearable app. Updates for Samsung’s smartwatches frequently take a few weeks longer to roll out globally.
