Apple Watch Update: boost the 18hrs of battery to 36 hours with low power mode, check here

Apple has announced a significant update for Apple Watch models by introducing new Low Power Mode.

This update was announced during the Far Out Event in which the feature is explained.

With Low Power Mode the 18 hour battery life can now be boosted upto 36 hours. 

Activity tracking, fall detection feature will still be available but some more power consuming features like the always on display, heart rate notifications for irregular rhythm and high and low heart rate will not be available. Wifi and cellular connections, incoming calls and notifications would be turned off when iPhone isn’t nearby.

How to enable Low Power Mode:-

When your watch’s battery drops to 10% then automatically alert will ask you whether you want to enable the low power mode feature or not.

And the best thing is that low power mode automatically gets turned off when watch is charged to 80%.

Steps:

1. Swipe up the watch face of your watch to go to control center.

2. Tap the battery percentage button displayed.

3. After reading on screen prompt swipe down and tap to switch to Low Power Mode.

When the watch is in low power mode then a yellow circle icon will appear into the top of the screen.

This feature is updated in all models with watchOS 9.
