Xiaomi Launches Redmi Watch 5 Active at Rs 2,799 with Hindi Language Support, Available from September 3rd
In a recent announcement, Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Watch 5 Active, a smartwatch designed to cater to fitness enthusiasts and tech-savvy users. This device is the successor to the Redmi Watch 3 Active, which was launched in August of last year. As the successor, it adds value in terms of features and is priced slightly higher than its predecessor.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Watch 5 Active in Midnight Black and Matte Silver, priced at an introductory price of Rs 2,799. It will be available for purchase starting September 3rd on Amazon, MI.com, Flipkart, and other major retailers.

The Redmi Watch 5 Active features a compact design with dimensions of 49.1mm in height, 40.4mm in width, and a thickness of 11.4mm, weighing 42.2g with the included strap. It has a 2-inch LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 385 pixels and brightness levels of up to 500 nits.
The device offers over 200 cloud watch faces, including more than 50 customizable options. It supports the Hindi language and includes Alexa for voice commands. Powered by HyperOS, it has a 470mAh battery, with a battery life of up to 18 days under typical usage and 12 days under heavy usage. Charging is done via a magnetic cable.
For health monitoring, the smartwatch includes a heart rate sensor, accelerometer, and SpO2 sensor. It supports calling features such as incoming call notifications, call answering, rejecting, and emergency SOS support. There is also Calling+ feature which gives you better noise reduction when taking calls.
The watch is compatible with smartphones running Android 6.0 or iOS 12.0 and above, and it works with the Mi Fitness App. It supports over 140 sports modes and has an IPX8 rating for water resistance. Connectivity is provided by Bluetooth v5.3.
