Xiaomi’s Redmi Watch 4, Redmi Buds 5 Pro, and Redmi Book 2024 Launched in China

Xiaomi at the recently conducted launch event had unveiled many of its latest devices, most of them under the Redmi branding. Three of the devices that were unveiled at the event are the Redmi Watch 4 smartwatch, Redmi Buds 5 Pro earbuds, and the Redmi Book 2024 laptop.

Redmi Watch 4

The Redmi Watch 4 features a 1.97″ square-shaped display and has an aluminum alloy frame along with a stainless steel rotating crown. It also has 200+ watch faces, customizable screen dials, new quick-release wristbands, and is 5ATM waterproof.

The smartwatch is powered by Xiaomi’s HyperOS and comes with features like focus reminder, cross-terminal intelligent connection, and multi-system adaptation(Android & iOS). More than 150 sports modes are also supported on the device, which also includes an independent GNSS outdoor running mode.

Health side, it has a new 4-channel PPG sensor and offers a 24/7 heart rate monitor, blood oxygen level monitor, sleep-stress monitor, breathing training, and a women’s health tracker. Bluetooth calling and multifunctional NFC offline payment are some of the other features.

Regarding its battery life, the device will be able to offer a battery life of 20 days, and it has a system-level battery life optimization feature.

Coming to its price, the smartwatch is priced at CNY 499 in the Chinese market and is currently made available for purchase.

Redmi Buds 5 Pro

The Redmi Buds 5 Pro earbuds have a porcelain coaxial dual unit featuring an 11mm extra large titanium plated woofer and a 10mm ultra-thin piezoelectric ceramic tweeter. It has an ultra-high bandwidth range of 20Hz-40000Hz. The earbuds also support LHDC 5.0 and are Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified.

Speaking about its noise reduction features, the earbuds have a 52dB maximum noise reduction depth and a 4kHz ultrawide noise reduction range. The device will thus be able to offer a 30% better noise reduction and has features like intelligent active surrender, ear-canal adaptive lowering, monaural detachment, three-finger transparency mode, and a 3-mic AI call barrier reduction.

Coming to its battery life, the Redmi Buds 5 Pro will offer a playtime of 10 hours on the earbuds with a single charge, which can be expanded to up to 38 hours with the charging dock. The earbuds also support quick charge, and a 5-minute charge will be equal to 2 hours of listening time. Also to add, the device supports Low Energy Bluetooth audio, 49ms full-link low latency, and will be able to connect with the Xiaomi Headphones App, and also with Xiaomi HyperConnect for a cross-device experience.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Buds 5 Pro has three color variants – Blue, White, and Black, and is priced at CNY 399 in China. It is now on sale.

The earbuds also have an E-Sports/Gaming version with a price tag of CNY 499, featuring a Black – Fluorescent Orange dual-tone color. It supports 20ms ultra-low latency, game space audio, and lossless audio. The pre-bookings are live and they will be officially made available on the 5th of December 2023, at 10 AM local time.

Redmi Book 2024

The latest Redmi Book 2024 comes in two display screen sizes – 14″ and 16″, and supports 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and is TUV Rheinland certified. The 14″ display has a 2.8K resolution and a 300 nits brightness, whereas the 16″ display offers a resolution of 2.5K and a brightness rate of 400 nits. Speaking of the dimensions, both the display variants are 15.9 mm thin, weighing 1.37kg and 1.68kg respectively.

About its build, it has a flagship quality aluminum alloy frame and a CNC metal shaft, along with a reinforced design for the entire fuselage. The device has also passed 5 major flagship test standards and 110,000 hours of software stability tests.

It is powered by the 13th Gen Intel 13500H processor and has an LPDDR5 dual channel memory. The device will also offer a file transfer speed of 6400MT/s and comes with a fast charge support of up to 47W. Dual fans and dual 8mm heat pipe again assure a stable performance on the device. With Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, many cross-device features can also be accessed by its users.

Finally, coming to the price, the 14″ display variant is currently on sale and is available in two storage options – 16GB/512GB & 16GB/1TB with prices of CNY 4199 and CNY 4499. The 16″ display variant has pre-sale open and is to be made available on the 1st of December, early next month. It will also come in 16GB/512GB & 16GB/1TB storage options, priced at CNY 4399 & CNY 4699, respectively.
