Xiaomi’s Smart Band 8 Pro Certified by Malaysia’s SIRIM Certification Authority
Xiaomi’s newly announced smart band device, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, has now received the SIRIM certification from Malaysia.

The latest Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro has received the SIRIM certification with the type approval code “RGSY/06A/1123/S(23-5289)”, and has made its appearance on the database with the model number – “M2333B1”. Its certification will be valid till the 21st of November 2028.
Also, previously the device with the same model number had received Singapore’s IMDA certification as well. However, its moniker is being revealed with the SIRIM certification.
About its specifications, the latest Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro features a 1.74″ larger OLED display screen and has a metal-coated frame. It is also 5-ATM waterproof and comes with quick-release straps. An improved user interface, new watch faces and wallpapers, and a wide variety of widgets are also part of the smart band.
The device also supports various health and fitness trackers and offers more than 150 sports modes. It also comes with an integrated GPS tracker. Regarding its battery life, the smart band packs a larger 289 mAh battery, and will thereby offer a battery life of up to 2 weeks or 14 days. With the always-on display(AOD) turned on, the battery life will be reduced to up to 6 days.
Speaking of its price, in the Chinese market, the device starts at a price point of CNY 399, whereas the leather strap model has been priced at CNY 449. We can also expect the device to make its debut soon in global markets like Malaysia and Singapore. Stay tuned.
