Today the company has officially unveiled the Sony ECM-S1 Wireless/Streaming microphone in India. This microphone has already made its debut in global markets last year.

Sony ECM-S1 Wireless/Streaming Microphone: Specifications & Features
It offers the high sound quality of a streaming microphone with compact and lightweight microphone and receiver units. The receiver measures 32mm x 29mm x 50mm and weighs 50g while the microphone measures 63mm x 137.5mm x 63mm and weighs 157g. This microphone has been specially designed for content creators.
It is equipped with three large diameter (14mm) microphone capsules. It supports Bluetooth 5.3 and LC3plus codec. Communication is possible at up to 150m when there is a good line of sight. The low intrinsic noise and wide dynamic range of the microphone allow clear capture of even low-level sound. Three directivity options are available on the microphone- Uni-directional, Omni-directional, and Stereo (Uni-directional). It arrives with a noise-cut filter and low-cut filter to remove the background noise. It also features a pop guard to suppress popping noise.
The receiver is directly powered when connected to Multi interface shoe of a camera or by USB Type-C to a PC or other device. The microphone provides approximately 13 hours of built-in battery use or can be continuously powered if connected by USB Type-C. Audio monitoring is possible with ECM-S1 when recording via a USB connection to a PC or smartphone. Attachment to a stand, tripod, or boom arm is possible with this device. Real-time adjustment and monitoring can be done during sound collection with the help of upper and lower dials. Both the microphone and receiver are equipped with a USB Type-C port.
It supports both wired and wireless connections. ECM-S1 microphone features a 3.5mm mini jack for audio output from the receiver, allowing use with cameras, PCs, IC recorders, and other devices.
