Sony presents new full-frame CineAlta camera, the BURANO, smallest full-frame cinema camera, check features and specifications here

SONY is a legacy reigning brand in the world of cameras, visual aesthetics, and filmmaking. SONY is now presenting a brand-new camera, the BURANO, the new CineAlta camera. The upcoming camera is a full-frame CineAlta camera, but it is designed to also cater to solo and small team productions.

BURANO from SONY is a new concept and reportedly the smallest full-frame cinema camera.

This would be helpful for independent and low-budget filmmakers, as they can practice the art of filmmaking with its support.

Some of the features and specifications of the camera are as follows.

It offers 16-stop wide latitude and low noise in S-Log3 recording. It features Dual Base ISO and Cine EI for checking exposure.

It also has a multi-purpose image scan mode feature.

BURANO has incorporated the superior image quality of VENICE. However, it is re-designed in a way that it is also handy for solo and small team productions.

According to SONY, the BURANO is 33 % lighter than VENICE 2.

It is also comparatively more power efficient. It supports CFexpress media and SONY is of the view that along with being one of the smallest full-frame CineAlta camera, it is also technically advanced.

It features Rich 16-bit X-OCN LT internal recording. It supports 1.3x and 2.0x De-Squeeze Monitoring.

With PL and E-mount lenses, you can cater to diverse applications. It also has in-camera stabilization for both PL and E-mount lenses.

It also has AI-driven subject recognition AF with E-mount lenses.

The camera would also cater to Virtual Production shooting.

The price for the camera hasn’t been mentioned as of now.
