The TCL 30 XE has been released for a price of just $200 with a 5G service on T-Mobile network support. 5G service costs have increased sharply and getting 5G on T-Mobile can reduce a huge amount of cost.
The TCL 30 XE comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor and 4 GB of RAM with a 64 GB built-in storage system. The processor is not high end but it provides freedom to swiftly switch from one app to another. The battery life is 4,500mAh with ultimate power efficiency, especially for users who use it on Wi-Fi. the phone doesn’t slack behind during heavy use.
The 30 XE offers a 6.52-inch LCD screen which is a lot to expect when it comes to the low price of the phone. The screen has a 720p resolution which might make the screen appear dim but it is also very comfortable visually. The screen’s 90Hz refresh rate is also smooth and responsive.
The device has some pre-downloaded T-Mobile apps which can also be uninstalled. The phone supports the Ultra Capacity 5G network along with T-Mobile 5G plans. The phone has an Android version 11, although TCL spokesperson Isabelle Braun said that it can be upgraded to Android 12.
The company is also aware of the recent cyber-crime instances and thus offers to provide two years of security updates. The TCL also says that the phone contains a triple rear camera system with a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and 2-megapixel micro camera.
However, there are some cons to the phone such as its dim indoor lighting and low-lighting camera are its biggest challenge. The shutter speed isn’t up to the mark with inefficient autofocus. Yet the phone is the biggest investment one could make at only $200 including the protective phone case. This is the budget phone that TCL provides with swift 5G connections.
