The Reno series’ design has always generated a lot of discussions, and the Reno 7 Pro is no exception. The Oppo Reno 7 Pro’s glass back features a new polish. Oppo claims that hundreds of diagonal micro-etches, which are visible at specific angles, were produced using a novel laser method. Because of the 6.5-inch AMOLED display, the colors and contrast are excellent. A Full-HD+ display featuring Corning Gorilla 5 for scratch resistance, a peak refresh rate of 90Hz, and a peak touch sampling rate of 180Hz.

The Oppo Reno 7 Pro uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200-Max, a new SoC. This SoC essentially consists of a Dimensity 1200 SoC with two additional Reno 7 Pro-specific optimizations. Although it is built on Android 12, ColorOS 12 is still based on Android 11. I played PUBG: New State to see how well this phone performs in demanding multiplayer games. The gameplay was fluid, and the display responded quickly even with all of the graphics settings turned up to their maximum setting.

Positive upgrades include a flat display, dual speakers, and better camera sensors. The battery life is also good, and lightning-fast charging is helpful. If unusual camera features and trendy appearances are more important to you than pure performance, you should be happy with the Reno 7 Pro.

Camera and display

The 6.55-inch AMOLED display on the OPPO Reno7 Pro features a pixel density of 402 ppi and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Along with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate, the bezel-free display also features a punch hole in the top-left corner for the front camera. Additionally, the smartphone’s front screen is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass v5.

The 50MP f/1.8 wide-angle primary camera, the 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle camera, and the 2MP f/2.4 macro camera are all located on the back of the OPPO Reno7 Pro.

The battery and configuration

A MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Max chipset and an Octa-core CPU with dual Cortex A78 and Cortex A55 cores operating at 3GHz are included in the OPPO Reno7 Pro. The combination of a powerful Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and 12GB of RAM guarantees excellent visuals and lag-free multitasking.

The manufacturer has included a 4500mAh Li-Polymer battery inside the smartphone. In addition to not being detachable, it is compatible with the 65W Super VOOC charging system.
