LG Officially Introduces 2025 OLED evo Lineup And Cross Domain Controller (xDC) Platform

Ahead of the CES 2025 event, LG Electronics has unveiled its all-new 2025 OLED Evo lineup that includes two models- OLED Evo M5 and OLED Evo G5 models. These models present unparalleled OLED picture quality, exceptional brightness, and advanced processing capabilities.

LG 2025 OLED EVO Lineup

This latest 2025 OLED EVO lineup is powered by an Alpha 11 AI processor Gen 2 processor and AI-driven personalization. The TVs feature LG’s upgraded Brightness Booster Ultimate technology that provides brightness three times higher than conventional OLED models. This lineup is said to refine every detail to perfection with flawless blacks, accurate color reproduction, and stable performance.

The OLED displays in this lineup have received UL solutions Perfect Black, and Perfect Color verification and are certified by Intertek for 100% color fidelity. These TVs have also received TUV Rheinland’s Quick Stability with Image Quality certification. These latest OLED EVO 4K TVs support Filmmaker Mode with Ambient Light Compensation. There are several gaming features included as well- the industry’s first 4K 165Hz variable refresh rate certified by NVIDIA SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, tear-free, stutter-free gameplay, minimum input lag, and up to 165 frames per second.

For professional creators, it comes with Dynamic Tone Mapping Professional which offers expert-level control over HDR10 content. For audio, there is AI Sound Pro that delivers rich audio with virtual 11.12 channels of surround sound. The AI Picture/sound Wizard tailors audio and visual modes for each user. There are other AI-driven features- AI Remote, AI Welcome, AI Voice ID, AI Search, AI Chatbot, and generative image gallery while users also have access to Microsoft Copilot.

The lineup is integrated with webOS that offers a personalized and streamlined experience and supports multi-platform integration. As the world’s first true wireless OLED TV, the latest M5 series delivers wireless audio and video transmission at up to 144Hz. LG 83G5 models received the CES 2025 Best of Innovation Award and the LG 83M5 model received the Honoree title in the Video display category.

Other than this TV lineup, LG has also introduced the Cross Domain Controller (xDC) platform with Qualcomm Technologies for vehicles at CES 2025.

Cross Domain Controller (xDC) Platform

Based on Qualcomm technologies Snapdragon Ride Flex SoC, which pre-integrates Snapdragon Ride, this platform incorporates LG’s in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system and Advanced Driver Assistance system (ADAS) along with automated driving capabilities and an open platform offering support for digital cockpit.

This xDC platform rapidly processes data from IVI and ADAS systems enhancing overall driving experience. It delivers proactive assistance of ADAS confidence view which combines 3D and 2D graphics. It enables drivers and front seat passengers to easily and intuitively access a wide range of information through vehicles’ main display like- ADAS alerts, alternative routes based on real-time traffic, and promotions from frequently visited stores. The Flex SoC has obtained Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL)-D certification, contributing significantly to xDCs ability.

This all-new xDC platform will be demonstrated at CES 2025. It efficiently manages and controls complex system functions and is expected to play a vital role in the coming software-defined vehicle era.
