Vivo has officially confirmed the launch of its upcoming foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold+, in China after much speculation. On September 26, the foldable smartphone will be released. The X Fold+ will succeed the Vivo Fold X, which was released earlier this year. The launch event will take place in China and will begin at 7 p.m. local time.
What will be the specification of Vivo X Fold+
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset is expected to power the smartphone, along with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
According to rumors, the foldable phone’s camera module will include a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, a 12MP 2x portrait sensor, and an 8MP periscope sensor.
The X Fold+ is said to be powered by a 4730mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The previous X Fold phone came with a 4600mAh battery and 66W fast charging support.
The AMOLED display panel and 120Hz refresh rate are said to be retained on both sides of the smartphone. The phone is said to have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security and unlocking.
The Vivo X Fold+ is expected to be available in two color options: blue and red.
The Vivo X Fold+ is expected to be identical to the X Fold, with the exception of a new chip, a larger battery, faster-wired charging, and a new color.
The “+” in the X Fold+, according to Vivo, means “strong will evolve in a stronger way.” It’s unclear whether Vivo is referring to durability improvements with the Plus model or something else.
