Foldable smartphones have created enough buzz all over the world and there has been a sudden increase in demand for the foldables in the market. Each year we get to witness the introduction of many foldable from different brands, this year also has been the same with the introduction of Motorola, Oppo, and Google foldable smartphones while the launch of Samsung, OnePlus foldable devices is lined up for the upcoming months. Among all the rival brands Xiaomi is also expected to soon introduce its next foldable smartphone.
Last year Xiaomi introduced its second foldable phone Xiaomi Mix 2 in China and this year also the company was expected to launch its next foldable device but there was no news or report revealed that mentioned the launch of its next foldable device. Though it’s not the case now as tipster @kacskrz has recently shared a major update about Xiaomi’s new foldable device.

According to the tipster, the upcoming foldable device of Xiaomi will feature Hover mode. Confused about what this hover mode is? Well, this mode allows users to use gestures on the bottom half of the screen. You can double-tap to pause/play and slide to zoom, and brightness and volume can also be adjusted. The tipster didn’t mention the name of the device but when a user asked him whether it was Mix Fold 3, he replied “Likely.” Though you need to take this news with a pinch of salt as this was an assumption by the tipster.
Apart from this, the tipster also talked about another upcoming Xiaomi device which he suspects to be a tablet, that this device will feature a ToF camera on screen.

As per the tipster, this camera will allow automatically to lock the screen when you walk a certain distance away and also lights the screen when you come near the device. It allows you to play/pause playback, turn pages, answer/end calls and adjust the volume.
The names of the upcoming devices are still not clear and we might get to know more about Xiaomi’s upcoming devices in the coming days in detail like the moniker names, specifications or design renders.
