ASUS to Launch its ROG Ally 2023 Globally on the 11th of May 2023: Won’t be Launched in India

ASUS will launch its latest hand-held gaming device, the ROG Ally 2023 on the 11th of May 2023. The ROG Ally 2023 will have its global launch but from a recent update, it is said that the device won’t have its launch in India.

ASUS is confirmed to launch its latest gaming device, the ASUS ROG Ally 2023 on the 11th of May 2023 at 15:00 UTC globally, and a recent update indicates that the device won’t have its launch in India.

 

ASUS’ latest gaming device will be launched to compete with Valve’s Steam Deck and to offer a great gaming experience to its users. Most of its specifications have also been shared.

The upcoming gaming device from ASUS, the ROG Ally 2023 will operate on the Windows 11 operating system and will come pre-loaded with several gaming platforms including Xbox Game Pass for PC,  EA Play, Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect and Battle.net. With the help of Wi-Fi 6E, cloud features can also be accessed on the device. Other ASUS ROG devices like the ROG gaming controller and the ROG gaming charger docks can also be connected to the device for a better user experience.

Speaking about its processor, the device will be powered by a custom AMD Ryzen Z1 APU processor having the Zen4 architecture. It will also be equipped with the RDNA 3 graphics and will support RSR and FSR resolution compatibility. It also has a PCIe 4.0 storage of 512GB which can be expanded via a microSD card. Two internal fans have also been given inside the device for better cooling with a minimum operating sound of 20dB to 30 dB.

Coming to its display, the device will have a 7″ display with a screen resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display will have an aspect ratio of 16:9, a response time of 7ms, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a brightness rate of 500 nits, and an sRGB 100% color gamut. It will also be protected with the DXC Gorilla Glass and will support FreeSync. The device will also have a Dolby Atmos powered 5.1.2 channel surround sound and will support audio technologies like Smart Amp and Hi-Res Audio technologies.

ASUS’ ROG Ally 2023 is also expected to offer a battery life of upto 8 hours as per the article published in Notebook Check and will be priced below $1,000.

Shawn Yen, ASUS’ product management director of the gaming business unit will be the keynote speaker of the launch event and will also be one of the panelists in the following conversation regarding the future of portable gaming. Roanne Sones, CVP, head of Xbox hardware, and Frank Azor, AMD chief architect of gaming solutions and marketing, will be the other two panelists and the live video producer, Jack Kulinski will perform the role of the moderator.
