Call of Duty: Vanguard is currently accessible all around the world
Season one of Call of Duty: Vanguard begins on December 2nd, and Warzone gamers will receive a new map called ‘Caldera' on the same day.
Call of Duty: Vanguard, the latest installment in Activision’s annual FPS game, is now available worldwide on all major platforms. The game, dubbed “The Best WWII Game,” has a thrilling single-player narrative, 20 multiplayer levels, and a brand-new Zombies mode that connects to the continuing story.
Vanguard also has a close relationship with Call of Duty: Warzone, a free-to-play game. The new ‘Warzone Pacific’ era, which is effectively the season one experience in Vanguard, will premiere on December 2nd, introducing all-new game modes, weapons, and operators.
On the same day, Warzone gamers will receive a free download of a brand-new map called Caldera, as well as additional gameplay experiences.
“The introduction of Vanguard is only the beginning. In a press release, Johanna Faries, General Manager, Call of Duty, Activision, remarked, “This new release will bring unprecedented breadth and depth of outstanding content experiences for Call of Duty players.”
Call of Duty: Vanguard, developed by Sledgehammer Games, will immerse players in World War II, where they will learn about the origins of Special Forces and fight for victory on four main fronts: the Eastern and Western Fronts of Europe, the Pacific, and North Africa.
The game comes with 20 multiplayer maps, 12 operators with unique abilities, and over three dozen weapons to pick from on launch day. Vanguard now includes cross-play support for current and next-generation systems, as well as additional social features that make it easier to queue up with friends.
It will also debut the brand-new RICOCHET anti-cheat system, which is described as a “multi-faceted approach to combat cheating” that includes “new server-side tools that monitor analytics to identify cheating, enhanced investigation processes to stamp out cheaters, updates to strengthen account security, and more.” Only time will tell how it performs in-game.
With the newest Call of Duty games, storage size has been a huge worry, with each installation or update taking up more than 150 GB. However, according to VGC, Activision claims to have decreased the file size greatly this year, by up to 50%. More information on this can be found here.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is currently available for purchase on Battle.net for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
