The iconic Majin Buu saga of the Dragon Ball anime series is set to be part of the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero game. Enthusiasts will be able to play the game for the first time in Europe at Gamescom 2024.
It is further to be noted that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is the first entry in the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenakichi series in about 15 years.
Majin Buu is a character in Dragon Ball that comprises multiple special moves. His characteristics extend to the point where he can morph his body into a ball lookalike. This made it challenging for the makers of the game. However, according to Jun Furutani, the main producer of the game, the team has made an effort to keep an overall balance of the game, as other characters who can transform are getting stronger as well.
Majin Buu’s arc in Dragon Ball holds the utmost significance in the series. The producers of the game have taken inspiration from the original battle scenes of the anime in the Majin Buu arc. Emphasis has been given to details of actions to ensure that a player’s experience remains more original and relatable.
The game also consists of special interactions between multiple characters and Majin Buu, before and after battles in the game. Along with it, there exist interactions with characters from Dragon Ball Super.
A player can experience challenging battles against powerful enemies, as the game is not just limited to the Majin Buu arc. Rather, a more in-depth experience waits for a player that would make them analyze their decisions and moves. Just like the original story, one can also enjoy reversals in a battle and ki recovery with Buu as your character.
In terms of the visual effects, the producers of the game have drawn inspiration from the original anime.
