Galwan Valley is the first story line of the FAU-G Game which launched today
Fearless and United Guards or FAU-G, India’s most-anticipated smartphone action game will be released today on the 72nd Republic Day of India, 26 January. The game has just reached 5 million registrations in the Google Play Store, with a million users registering in only the last week.
“If you look at the genre of action games, they follow a theme,” Gondal explained, noting how popular titles like the Call of Duty franchise were based around concepts that had an emotional bond with local audiences. But, according to him, Indian audiences have no such relation. “I think if we’re going to have to create a game from India, we’ve got to base it on Indian themes, and if you look at Indian themes, we’ve all seen Galwan Valley and what happened,” he said.
Gondal disclosed that FAU-G could involve many of India’s past historic border battles in future episodes such as the Kargil incident, the India-Pakistan conflict of 1971, and the 2016 surgeries, among others. It’s going to be fascinating to see how newer gaming types are going to be applied in these storylines.
Battle Royale mode
With regard to the inclusion of Battle Royale mode in the future, Gondal said, “As soon as we begin to get the data from customers and what they want, we will continue to improve the game. Based on reviews, different modes including PvP (Player versus Player) mode and Battle Royale mode will be introduced to the game in the next few months.”
He also indicated that integrating game elements would eventually ensure a more polished environment for players and reduce the possibility of a server-related problem. “We’re not in a rush. We want to take it at a good, steady pace and create a great product,” he said.
FAU-G will also be fully free-to-play, although in-game transactions will allow players to customize their player avatars with skins and other features. The game will also allow players to buy official FAU-G merchandise from the app itself. They will have t-shirts, hoodies and more.
Help for old, low-end phones
FAU-G will also be available for older Android smartphones, and phones running Android 8 (Oreo) or above will be able to run the app. Considering that handset hardware based on Android Oreo had lower requirements than modern phones, it’s fair to say that most of today’s Android phones will be able to handle FAU-G, even though they’re not flagship models.
Data privacy
FAU-G will be available for all Android phones running Android 8 and up on the Google Play Store from today, January 26th. Players will be able to play the story mode of the game, where the focus is on close combat and hand-held weapons. The availability on iOS devices is currently not verified, but we should expect FAU-G to hit the iOS App Store in the next few months.
