New Android Gaming console, Razer Edge 5G, to be revealed in October
Verizon, Razer, and Qualcomm have teamed up to launch a new Android gaming handheld in the month of October. On Tuesday, the Razer Edge 5G was teased during the Mobile World Congress in Las Vegas. This gave the audience a glimpse of the new handheld gaming console. The console will be formally announced next month.
Verizon let in the audience into a few details about the upcoming device. He shared that the device is powered by a Razer Edge 5G Qualcomm Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 Gaming Platform, which is meant for high-end performance. Along with it, the device will run on Android and with the option of cellular internet. Furthermore, it will also use the wireless carrier’s 5G Ultra Wideband. Speculations drawn from the video shown off by George Koroneos, Verizon’s official Gadget Guy, let one conclude that the console will have plenty of physical controls, including triggers that look to have some kind of force feedback system.
The gaming world does not have to anticipate much to find out what Razer is cooking in their tent. The Razer Edge 5G will be revealed formally on October 15 during RazerCon 2022. This annual digital event will also see discussions about Razer and the idea of bringing together fans of the brand and the global gaming community.
