PlayStation gives a sneak peak of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary celebration plans, check details here

Exciting treats await the gamers as PlayStation reveals some of its plans for celebrating its 30th Anniversary. Sony’s venture into the gaming industry began on December 3rd, 1994. With a few months away from the anniversary, PlayStation is excited to give a glimpse of the upcoming celebration to their dedicated fans. This week also celebrates the release of Astro Bot, which has been receiving high praise. Astro Bot is Team Asobi’s tribute to PlayStation marking 3 decades with their iconic characters, stories, and magical moments.

Now let’s have a brief walkthrough of the upcoming events.

Firstly, you can go on a trip to Nostalgia with a free demo version of the globally acclaimed Gran Turismo 7, My First GT. It will be released on PS4 and PS5. The release date has not been revealed yet. The content will be packed with references from the first GT experience. It is developed to reminisce about your very first GT experience. So, get ready to spot all your favorite cars, tracks, and race events. More details on My First GT will be available to PS5 and PS4 users in the upcoming holidays.

Feel the hype of the celebrations on September 21st and 22nd 2024 by participating in online multiplayer Esports tournaments. Titles such as Madden NFL 24, MLB The Show 24, NBA 2K25, NBA 2K24. If these don’t interest you then fighting games like Tekken 8, Guilty Gear Strive, and EA UFC 5 are also on the list.

Hyping up the occasion, Sony Music will also release scores of fan-favorite PlayStation games on Spotify and other digital music platforms from October to January. God of War, God of War II, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Twisted Metal, Starhawk, and Unit 13 are the few confirmed titles. You will be able to stream them on Spotify or purchase them on platforms like Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc.

To top it all, Shapes of Play will be launched in December 2024. The product was developed by the team who designed the Iconic PlayStation’s console. It contains ‘Shape of Play: Battle’, a board game to line up the same-coloured shapes; ‘Shape of Play: Create’, which allows you to arrange shapes in different designs and ‘Shape of Play: Recharge’, a stress relieving game for the player to unwind after a tough boss battle. Shape of Play will launch in December 2024 through in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Benelux. Pre-orders are now live.
