PlayStation Network services fully recovered after 24 hour outage; Sony compensates all PlayStation Plus members

This weekend turned out to be quite a disappointment for gamers who were planning to enjoy their gaming session on the PlayStation Network as the PlayStation Network went down worldwide on Friday evening (7th February), and stayed down for almost 24 hours.
This PSN outage left the gamers frustrated as the users started complaining about facing issues with signing in or registering, launching games/apps/network features, and using the PlayStation Store on various social media platforms. Various memes and jokes were also shared on the X platform regarding this global outage.

Some users reported that they were able to use their PlayStation on Saturday afternoon but there were still many who were facing problems until the evening. Well, the company on Sunday confirmed that the network services have fully recovered from an operational issue. While apologizing for the inconvenience it was also announced that all PlayStation Plus members will automatically receive an additional 5 days of service.

The exact cause of the outage was not revealed by the company which angered many users while the additional 5-day benefit is only for the Plus members and the non-subscribers won’t get anything, even though they were also affected by the outage.
