PlayStation Plus Reveals December 2024 Games: It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem Join the Lineup with 30th Anniversary Celebrations

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced its PlayStation Plus monthly games for December 2024, featuring a diverse selection of titles alongside special activities celebrating PlayStation’s 30th anniversary. Starting December 3, subscribers will have access to three new games: the cooperative adventure It Takes Two, tactical strategy game Aliens: Dark Descent, and creature-collecting RPG Temtem.

It Takes Two, available for both PS4 and PS5, offers a unique co-op platform adventure where players control Cody and May, a couple transformed into dolls. The game features split-screen gameplay and includes a Friend’s Pass system allowing non-owners to join the adventure. Players must collaborate through various challenges while experiencing a narrative focused on relationship dynamics.

Aliens: Dark Descent brings strategic combat to PS4 and PS5, putting players in command of colonial marines fighting against Xenomorphs. The game features permanent death mechanics and adaptive enemy AI, with players managing squad tactics across open levels while facing threats from both aliens and the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.

PS5 users can explore Temtem, a creature-collecting adventure set in the Airborne Archipelago. The game offers monster-taming gameplay across six islands, with opportunities for battling, trading, and completing an extensive campaign against Clan Belsoto.

To commemorate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, Sony is organizing several additional activities throughout December. These include a free online multiplayer weekend from December 6-8, esports tournaments featuring popular titles, and a sweepstakes offering 30-month PlayStation Plus Premium memberships to 30 winners in participating countries.

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will receive additional benefits, including a game trial of Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 and access to classic PS2 titles like Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy starting December 10.

Members have until December 2 to add November’s offerings—Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Death Note Killer Within—to their libraries before the new selection becomes available.
