PlayStation VR2 App Listed On Steam, Will Release On 6th August
PlayStation has listed the PlayStation VR2 app on Steam which is set to launch on 6th August 2024. The listing of the app says that a user will require the following things to get started:-
- PlayStation VR2 VR headset
- PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers (Connect via Bluetooth)
- PlayStation VR2 PC adapter
This specific adapter that is important for the connection will be available in the market from August 7th at the price of $59.99. As far as the system requirement for the PlayStation VR2 is concerned the description below the listing of the app says
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10/11
- Processor: Intel Core i5 7600 / AMD Ryzen 3 3100
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or later / NVIDIA RTX Series / AMD Radeon RX 5500XT or later / Radeon RX 6500XT or later

- Additional Notes: Zen 2 or later architecture is required
This app does give gamers the ability to set up their PS VR devices, through the Stream platform but at the same time few things will remain exclusive to the PS5 including HDR, headset feedback, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback. However, 4K visuals, a 110-degree field of view, 3D audio, and finger-touch detection will be supported.
