“See you in BF4”: Battlefield 2042 has been bombed in reviews, and is now one of Steam’s worst titles

Battlefield 2042 was one of the most eagerly anticipated games of the year, but a rocky launch has pushed the game to the bottom of Steam's rankings.

Battlefield 2042, one of the most anticipated games of the year, was released last week and quickly became one of the lowest-rated games on Steam, an online video game retailer. According to the listings on steam250.com, the game is presently ranked 9th worst rated Steam game of all time.

A variety of gameplay features are to blame for the negative reviews. Broken vehicles, slow PC performance, and even shots that weren’t accurate or didn’t register at all are examples of these faults.

Although Battlefield 2042 has now gotten a day-one patch, some of the game’s bugs are said to persist. As a result, tens of thousands of players panned the game on Steam.

Battlefield 2042 has received only 25% good ratings out of 43,300 on Steam (at the time of writing this post), with a massive 75% of gamers (one out of every four players) bombing the game.

Battlefield 2042 players were even more enraged when the game’s debut was delayed, possibly to address flaws, but the title still had a rocky start. Players can be seen criticizing the lack of enough weaponry, as well as a variety of other game aspects, in several Steam reviews.

“I thought to myself when BF3 (Battlefield 3) was released. Consider how the battlefield will appear in ten years. “I hadn’t expected this…” On Steam, a disgruntled player wrote:

In recent history, there have been a number of botched game launches.

Battlefield 2042 isn’t the first highly anticipated game to be underwhelmed on release day. GTA remasters from Rockstar Games, Konami’s eFootball 2022, and CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 from last year all met the same fate after release.

eFootball 2022 by Konami, on the other hand, has had it the worst so far and remains Steam’s worst-rated game despite being a free title nearly two months after its release in September.
