Sony is withdrawing Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store and will give refunds to players who have already purchased it

Since the highly awaited game released with a host of glitches and a major output difference between high-end PCs and the PS4/Xbox One models of the game, Sony Interactive Entertainment will withdraw Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store for digital purchasing “until further notice.” The shabby console models were also apologized for by Cyberpunk 2077-creator CD Projekt Red.
CDPR had initially promised to offer refunds to anyone who owned the games on consoles, but it was impossible to get a refund by the methods set down by the developer. Sony though has made things better now. Sony said in a newly posted page about refunds on the game:
“SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice. Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund. Please note that completion of the refund may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.”
So, the game will be excluded from the PlayStation Website, and refunds will be given to those who have already ordered it. Here, players may order a refund.
The news is the newest step in what is perhaps the messiest introduction of a video game over the past eight years that has been hyped up. While on high-end PCs, the game mostly looks fine, the current-gen consoles have not been designed at all. There are a host of visual glitches, and the graphics are a big step down from what the developers have seen in the last few years in demonstrations.
A CD Projekt Red announcement apologizing for the bad game results on the current-gen consoles: The said in the statement that they would like to start by apologizing to everyone for not seeing the game on last-gen consoles until it launched and as a result, not helping people make a more knowledgeable buying decision. To make it play faster on PlayStation 4 and Xbox 1, they should have paid more attention.
For individuals who have already acquired a digital copy of the game from the PlayStation store, CD Projekt said all copies of the game previously purchased digitally from the PlayStation Store remain available to their respective buyers for use In the future, they will also continue to receive updates.
