WWE Superstars Join Clash of Clans in New Crossover Event Ahead of WrestleMania 41

In a move that bridges two major entertainment worlds, Supercell’s Clash of Clans is bringing WWE Superstars into its universe as part of a special in-game and real-world crossover. Starting April 1, characters like Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, The Undertaker, and Bianca Belair will appear in the popular mobile strategy game as playable personas, kicking off a month-long celebration that culminates in a custom match sponsorship at WrestleMania 41.
The collaboration includes themed in-game environments, events, cosmetics, and easter eggs referencing WWE’s decades-long history. This marks a first-of-its-kind initiative at this scale for Clash of Clans, which has surpassed 2 billion lifetime downloads since its launch.
Leading the charge is Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who has long been a dedicated player of Clash of Clans and ranks among the top 10% of players globally. He now enters the game as the “Barbarian King,” his in-game persona mirroring his aggressive strategy style.
“I’ve spent years building my legacy in WWE, but it’s time for fans to know where I’ve landed most of my victories, in Clash of Clans,” said Rhodes. “As OverlordRhodes, I don’t defend, I conquer. Villages will fall, and any opposition will be crushed under my command. This isn’t about playing fair in the ring, it’s about ruling the battlefield. Just like at WrestleMania 41, I’m stepping in with one goal – absolute victory. I’ve waited a long time for this moment, and now that I’ve arrived, there’s no stopping me.”
Other WWE Superstars reimagined in-game include:
-
Rhea Ripley as Archer Queen
-
The Undertaker as Grand Warden
-
Bianca Belair as Royal Champion
-
Rey Mysterio as Minion Prince
-
Kane as P.E.K.K.A
-
Becky Lynch as Valkyrie
-
Jey Uso as Thrower
Supercell’s team developed the crossover in close coordination with WWE, aiming to blend fandom and gameplay in a way that feels natural to both communities.
“When the game team found out Cody Rhodes and other Superstars were long-time Clash of Clans fans, they didn’t hesitate to reach out to WWE,” said Sara Bach, Head of Live Games at Supercell. “This partnership in Clash of Clans is on a scale we’ve never created before – from the in-game event reaching tens of millions of players, to WrestleMania 41 and our Clash of Clans match as a first-of-its-kind event on the biggest stage.”
The update goes live globally on April 1, with additional in-game content rolling out throughout the month. The event will conclude with a Clash of Clans-themed match presentation at WrestleMania 41, which takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
