Images of Microsoft’s new devices- Surface Pro 8 and Surface Laptop 4 leaked and it’s disappointing!!

Microsoft’s two new Surface devices — the Surface Laptop 4, and two variants of the Surface Pro 8 were supposed to be announced in a quiet product announcement in mid-January next year. But its alleged images have been shared by a tipster on Twitter.

The tipster whose Twitter handle is @cozyplanes shared the images which seem to be from a US FCC filing with the two Microsoft laptops placed next to a ruler for measurements. The tipster also shared the model numbers for the two laptops, with the Surface Laptop 4 reportedly having model number 1950 and the Surface Pro 8 comes with model number 1960.

Both of the leaked images of the Surface Laptop 4 and the Surface Pro 8 doesn’t really provide any information other than the black colour for the back panel, rounded edges, and a Microsoft logo, but apparently, the devices look a lot identical to their predecessors and this is particularly disappointing.

Also, the alleged leaked image for the Surface Pro 8 shows the front of the laptop with thick bezels as seen previously on Surface Pro laptops, a white back panel, and some grooves around the body. It has the same basic design since the Surface Pro 3 in 2014, which is disappointing since there is a svelter and more modern-looking Surface Pro X.

As per reports, The two laptops could feature Intel 11th generation processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. Also, the Surface Laptop 4 could come with AMD variants as well. Further, Microsoft may start releasing the Surface Duo in more markets after the Surface devices launch. There might also be a black variant of the Surface Go 2 that might launch in January, as per the report. A report by Windows Central further claims that the two devices may be launched mid-January.

Microsoft has not yet shared any information on the Surface Laptop 4 or the Surface Pro 8. They could come with better upgrades compared to the current generation models without any major external hardware changes.
