Samsung Officially Unveils 1TB microSD Cards- PRO Plus and EVO Plus With Samsung’s advanced V-Nand Technology
The South Korean tech giant Samsung has launched two enhanced 1TB microSD cards- PRO Plus and EVO Plus that arrive with a 10-year limited warranty, higher capacity, and improved performance.

These microSD cards adopt Samsung’s 8th generation V-Nand technology and are said to be ideal for content creators and tech enthusiasts who need quick file transfers and storage for use across their devices in everyday use.
Both the microSD cards offer a range of storage options including 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. While the EVO Plus microSD card also has a 64GB option. With 1TB storage users can store more than 400K 4K UHD (2.3MB) images or more than 45 console games (20GB).
PRO Plus offers sequential read speeds of up to 180MB/s coupled with sequential write speeds of up to 130MB/s. It has UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and Video Speed Class 30 (V30) for 4K UHD Video with A2 App performance. EVO Plus offers transfer speeds of up to 160MB/s. It also boosts UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and Video Speed Class 30 (V30) for 4K UHD Video with A2 app performance. 64GB EVO Plus model has varying specs with UHS Speed Class (U1), Video Speed Class 10 (V10), and A1 App performance.
These microSD cards show improved power efficiency with their controller based on 28nm process technology. They offer enhanced durability with an Error Correction code (ECC)’s Low-Density Parity Check (LPDC) code and a 2KB engine. They can withstand water, high temperatures, X-rays, and magnetic fields and are also dustproof and resistant to wear out.
PRO Plus and EVO Plus are compatible with a range of everyday devices including Android smartphones, tablets, handheld gaming consoles, action cameras, and drones.
Pricing
PRO Plus has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) ranging from $24.99 for a 128GB model to $153.99 for a 1TB model. MSRP for EVO Plus ranges from $12.99 for a 64GB model to $131.99 for a 1TB model. Both the microSD cards have a 10-year limited warranty.
