Adobe Photoshop- a platform that has allowed several creators to bring their vision to reality with some amazing tools and features. Till now creators used Photoshop on the desktop only which sometimes can be a hindrance if a user needs to create something and they don’t have a desktop available.
Well, Adobe has now officially announced via a blog post, that the Photoshop app is now available on iPhone. This is a free mobile image editing and design app that comes with a re-imagined interface optimized for phones. With the help of this app, iPhone users can now add, remove, adjust, and combine content and tap into a vast library of free Adobe Stock assets to create visuals without compromising on precision or resolution.
This app will not be replacing Photoshop on desktop but it is said to be built to empower mobile-first creators who may just be getting started, want to create wherever they are whenever they want, and may be new to Photoshop. Adobe has also introduced a new Photoshop Mobile & Web plan available via the App Store. Photoshop on the web comes with expanded availability across browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Photoshop capabilities are available for free on iPhone
- Create unique designs and images by combining, compositing, and blending images with core Photoshop tools and features, including precise selection tools, unlimited layers and
- Remove, recolor or replace part of an image after making a selection using the intuitive Tap Select tool.
- Brush away spots in seconds with advanced removal tools like the Spot Healing Brush.
- Speed up and simplify complex edits with powerful generative AI tools that are safe for commercial use, like Generative Fill and Generative Expand.
- Make advanced edits in Photoshop, then bring your cloud PSDs into Adobe Express and Adobe Fresco and even edit Adobe Lightroom photos in Photoshop on iPhone.
- Edit with flexibility, using non-destructive unlimited layers, selective adjustments and the PSD
- Import and export images while preserving file fidelity and image quality with full-resolution editing.
- Add, replace and create with a vast library of hundreds of thousands of free Adobe Stock assets.

The new Photoshop Mobile & Web plan can be purchased through the App Store. For existing Photoshop desktop subscribers, Photoshop on iPhone is now included with every subscription that has Photoshop so you can access your work, make quick edits, or capture your creative ideas anywhere you are. The premium plan is priced at $7.99/month or $69.99/annually, which includes additional features on mobile and iPad, along with access to Photoshop on the web.
Apart from these features, recently Live Co-editing feature was recently introduced to Photoshop which is now available in private beta on the web and desktop to subscribers of any Photoshop plan- including Photoshop on the web in the new Photoshop Mobile & Web plan.
In the blog post, it was also mentioned that for now the Photoshop app is made available for iPhone but the app will be coming soon for Android users as well later this year.
